ICA Maxi Sydport, Mariestad – Successful Joint Venture and Divestment

Development Partner AB, together with Kynningsrud Fastighet AB, has successfully divested its first joint venture company to Prisma Properties AB. The transaction comprises a newly established ICA Maxi store in the Sydport retail area in Mariestad – a strategically important location for the city’s continued development of out-of-town retail.

The joint venture was established with a clear objective: to create strong long-term conditions for the establishment of modern and competitive grocery retail. Through close collaboration at an early stage, the parties have been able to combine their respective strengths and drive the project from concept through execution and divestment.

The partnership between Development Partner AB and Kynningsrud Fastighet AB is built on complementary expertise in real estate development, project management, and construction delivery. Kynningsrud Bygg AB is responsible for construction, and groundworks and foundation works are currently progressing at full pace. The project is characterised by high ambitions in terms of quality, functionality, and long-term sustainability.

A decisive success factor for the project has been the strong cooperation with the Municipality of Mariestad, including the local business community and the land development and planning authorities. Through constructive dialogue and a shared vision, the parties have created the conditions for an efficient process and an establishment that strengthens both the local business environment and the region’s retail offering.

The divestment to Prisma Properties AB, a long-term and experienced owner of grocery retail properties, ensures that the project gains a stable owner capable of further developing the property over time.

This project marks an important milestone for Development Partner AB and Kynningsrud Fastighet AB and provides a solid foundation for future collaborations in new developments and real estate projects.
